Esther Palmer is a ceramic artist based in London. Working primarily on the potter’s wheel, she makes vessels and sculptural forms in response to particular landscapes. Her research is an act of ecological remembering - a reconnection to time as an amalgamation of bodily, seasonal, and earthly rhythms, through the language of traditional craft.
Esther graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Ceramics and Glass in 2023. Residencies in Latvia, Mexico, and Japan have been central to the development of her research, allowing her to work in response to place, learn from natural materials, and grow in relationship to ceramics communities. Alongside her studio practice, she manages and teaches at Culford Studios in London, and teaches internationally at Salemi Ceramics School in Sicily.
